HR Tech 2014

For the past four years, I’ve attended HR Tech. This year I traveled to Las Vegas on behalf of the HR Open Standards Consortium at HR Tech. HR Open Standards is all about compatibility – a concept that is foreign to many vendors and HR pros. Standards are an absolute game changer for HR technology buyers and vendors.

It was and honor to share the stage with Bon Idziak, Ray Schryer, Val Tsvetkov and Ingolf Teetz at this year’s HR Tech. To sum it up, if you want to lower costs and get new initiatives done, have the right team and leverage standards to get to done faster. Here are the slide’s from this year’s event:

As far as the actual tech on display, this year’s theme was pretty simple: suitificatoin. It seemed like every vendor was expanding their offering to become an integrated suite. Suitification is what happens when you don’t have big, new features or capabilities being added… so next year’s show should have some awesome new startups. I’m hoping Work Here is one of them.
