Virtual Payment Systems (VPS) is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for taking electronic payments.  VPS accepts credit card and e-check payments in a way that is:

As a result, law firms can now offer to accept credit card payments when they could only do so by breaking their bar association’s rules, violating their merchant agreement or losing money on every electronic transaction.

VPS has been processing payments since 2004 (it was owned by a former client who went out of business mid-project) and in business as VPS since 2008. VPS is actively seeking investors.
